Over P600K at stake in SM2SM Run

CEBU, Philippines — Over P600,000 cash prizes are up for grabs in the ninth edition of the SM2SM Run slated on February 17 at the SM City Cebu grounds.

 

A whooping P50,000 will be given to the champion of the 21K category, P30,000 for the second placer and P20,000 for the third placer.

Top placers in the 12K male and female will bring home P20,000, while the second and third placer will receive P10,000 and P8,000, respectively.

All 21K and 12K finishers will also receive a specially-designed finishers medal.

Winners in the 8K Open will take home P10,000, while the 4K top finishers will get P5,000.

Persons with Disabilities will have its own category, while special awards will be given to the biggest group and the oldest runner.

“We just want this run to be fun.And I am proud to say that we have the biggest cash prize in the country,” said SM Prime Holdings Incorporated vice-president Marissa Fernan in yesterday’s press launch at Krua Thai at SM City-Cebu.

Registration is now ongoing at SM City Cebu.The SM2SM Run registration booth is located at the second level of the Northwing near Metro Dental and Flawless.

 Registration fees are pegged at P950 for 21K, P750 for 12K, P650 for 8K and P550 for 4K categories.

Part of the proceeds will be for use in the improvement of the Marcelo Fernan Press Center in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

“We want to create a place where those media affected by downsizing or closure of a certain media company can go to the press center and use the computer and submit resumes,” added Fernan.
