4th Dragons in Argao set September 22
CEBU, Philippines — Elite paddlers from different parts of Visayas and Mindanao will once again strut their wares in the 4th edition of ‘Dragons in Argao’ set September 22 at the Maayo Stay Argao in Argao, southern Cebu.
The 300m-race features open, mixed and women’s category.
"We are expecting more teams joining. It's going to be another exciting race for the paddlers where they get to compete against powerful teams from different regions," said Randy Su of Dragon Boat Cebu Central. “Out-of-town teams will surely provide challenge for the local paddlers.”
This event is also one of the highlights for the annual fiesta of Argao.
Cash prizes and trophies await the top finishers in each category. The champion team will receive P5,000, while the second and third placers will pocket P3,000 and P2,000, respectively.
