Former Montreal Olympian Bruce Jenner and Kris Kardashian finally divorced after living apart for quite sometime now. The reason for the break up is Bruce’s transformation from manly athlete to  effeminate metrosexual with a reported penchant for cross dressing. Wow!  come to think of it, an Olympian who won the gold medal in the decathloin which is composed of 10 athletics events (perhaps one of the toughest in the Olympics), is now busy getting manicures and pedicures while plucking his eyebrows? Khloe  Kardashian who was once  married to NBA player Odom Lamar, said she found ample size lingerie in Bruce’s closet.  Kris said Bruce has more dresses than her in his (Bruce) Malibu house.

Bruce’s holiday photo in 2012 showed him wearing earrings and lipstick  while in his 2013 picture, he sported a pony tail.  Bruce set the world decathlon record of 8,617 points in Montreal, relegating Guido Kratschmer of Germany to second place with 1972 Olympics winner, Nikolai Avilov(URS) in third.  Decathletes are sometimes called, Ironmen, but in the case of Bruce, “Iron Lady”.

Still on “bayots”,  when this column hits the streets, I’ll be in Bacolod City with the whole family for our grand reunion slated on October 31 at the Sugarland Hotel.  I’m really excited with the affair as family members of my parent’s siblings, will be performing Broadway musicals like  Miss Saigon, Grease, South Pacific, Mamma Mia, Hairspray and West Side Story.  Our family will be present “Priscilla, Queen of the Dessert”, which is about two drag queens and a transexual who travelled  in the Australian desert.  For the first time in my life, I’ll be playing a “faggot” I’ll play Bernadette (played by Jon Santos in the local production of the musical)  while my brothers, Joey who arrived from L.A and Dr. Jun (from New York City) will portray Mitzi (played by Leo Valdez) and Felicia( Red Concepcion), respectively. This early, our relatives are expecting an explosive show from us.

I’ll be setting aside my Elvis jumpsuits for a colorful costume complete with headgear.  I’ll also be wearing a 2 inch-clogs and the longest eye lashes.  My grandson Chad said “Basin ma bayot ka Papa ha”?  We will be  belting four disco songs of the 80’s including “I Will Survive”, “It’s Raining Men”, “I Love The NightLife”,and “Shake Your Groovy Thing”!

House of Stone

I took a quick trip to Panglao, Bohol to visit former world karate champion Mike Stone who  has been calling Panglao, his home for 30 years now.  Mike’s house looks like a mini-museum what with medals, patches, certificates, plaques hanging in one wall.  Trophies also abound in the living room.  Mike also displayed his books (he writes poems)and pencil drawings.

Mike said he will soon construct a martial arts museum in his one hectare lot with Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee memorablias to start with. He recently returned from Seattle, Washington where he opened the Wing Luke Museum upon the invitation of Linda Lee (widow of Bruce Lee).
