Sogod lifts coded quarantine passes during Undas

CEBU, Philippines — The Municipality of Sogod in northern Cebu Province has lifted the coding of home quarantine passes of its residents.

Sogod Mayor Richard Estreegan has issued an executive order lifting the scheduled days of coded home quarantine pass of the residents and providing for the rules and regulations during the observance of Undas effective October 25, 2020.

Holders of the coded home quarantine pass are allowed to go out of their residence provided that they will still wear their facemask and face shield.

“Bringing of coded HQPs when outside of residence are still required to transact business, buy food, medicines and other essentials,” the EO No. 27 reads.

In an ordinance, the local government of Sogod has also adopted the resolution of the Inter-Agency Task Force in closing the all public and private cemeteries, memorial parks and columbarium on October 29 to November 4, 2020.

Any persons are allowed to visit the public and private cemeteries including memorial parks before and after the aforementioned dates.

The number of visitors visiting cemeteries must be limited to only 30 percent of the capacity of the place to avoid large crowd and physical distancing will be observed. — GMR (FREEMAN)
