CEBU, Philippines - A tireman was shot dead reportedly by his neighbor in Barangay Hipodromo, Cebu City late Friday night.

Senior Police Officer 4 Rey Cuyos of the Cebu City Police Office Homicide Section said Cabilete and Villamor engaged in a verbal tussle before the shooting happened.

Initial investigation also showed that witnesses said they overheard Villamor threatening Cabilete, saying “Bantay ka ha, saka unya ngari” as Villamor walked on his way up to his house.

Minutes after, Cabilete reportedly went out to buy food near the house of Villamor when he was suddenly shot repeatedly by Villamor.

Cabilete died on the spot while Villamor immediately fled from the area.

The police recovered four slugs and 11 empty shells of a cal. 9mm pistol from the crime scene.

The body of Cabilete was brought to St. Francis Funeral Homes for autopsy.
