Constantino is PRO-7 chief

CEBU, Philippines - After three weeks, Police Regional Office (PRO)-7 now has a new director replacing Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo Jr.

PRO-7 acting director and Deputy Regional Director for Administration, Chief Supt. Generoso Cerbo, received verbal instruction from Camp Crame Tuesday evening informing him that Chief Supt. Danilo Constantino will assume post today.

Constantino is formerly the Deputy Director of Comptrollership at the Camp Crame and is a graduate of Philippine Military Academy Class 1982.

While awaiting formal order from the higher headquarters, a formal turnover will be held today at the PRO-7 grounds.

Because of this new development, Cerbo decided to move the turnover of the Cebu City Police Office directorship to Friday.

“With respect to the city directorship, minabuti namin na bigyan nang prioridad ang assumption of the new regional director,” he said.

Sr. Supt. Noli Romana, former Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (NOPPO) director, is set to replace Sr. Supt. Mariano Natu-el Jr. as CCPO director. — (FREEMAN)
