Man shot dead in Carcar

CEBU, Philippines - A 53-year-old man met his untimely death after he was shot in Carcar late evening last Friday.

The victim, Wilfredo Baring, died with two gunshot wounds on the left side of his upper body and left leg.

Investigation revealed that Baring was walking in Sitio Riles, Barangay Poblacion around 11pm towards his house when unidentified men appeared and shot him. He reportedly came from a vigil at that time.

Whether or not there was only one gunman remains uncertain, police said, as no witness has surfaced.

Responding policemen brought Baring to the Carcar District Hospital, but he passed away moments later. (FREEMAN)
