Raising virtuosos

A new music school opened on Saturday last week, August 22, at the 2nd level of the Banilad Town Center - the Virtuoso School of Music (VSM).

The school offers voice, guitar, piano, violin and drum lessons, certainly to add new talents to Cebu's performance arts circle. It welcomes anyone who wishes to master the crescendos and staccatos that set virtuosos apart from the rest.

Headed by Hannah Magdadaro-Go - one of the violin scholars of the Cebu Symphony Orchestra founded by famed concert pianist Ingrid Sala-Santamaria - VSM aims to be a significant force in the local arts community, a learning institution where aspiring artists get to hone and fine-tune their musical skills.

VSM also offers courses in music composition and musical arranging. The school offers rehearsal room rental as well.

With lessons and courses made available in different modules, VSM makes it convenient for music students and professionals alike to bring their musical skills to a "higher note." More information on the school is available via its official Facebook Page - facebook.com/VirtuosoSM. (YRST)
