"Love letters" Valentines Special

CEBU, Philippines - Fancy dinners, long-stemmed roses, chocolates, love letters and romantic music entertainment. Classic Valentine traditions. They're back at Marco Polo Plaza. The only thing lacking in the picture for now are the lovers.

On February 14, there's a lovers' treat at the hotel's Cebu Grand Ballroom - dinner and a show. A delectable four-course dinner with wine pairing, prepared by no less than award-winning chefs, is served. The show that follows is a one-of-a-kind performance from world- class Broadway couple Robert and Isay Seña, who were both part of the original production of "Miss Saigon," together with Lea Salonga. Included in their repertoire are "West Side Story," "They're Playing Our Song" and "Jesus Christ Superstar," to name a few. Both have also been nominated for awards due to their excellent performances.

On February 13 and 14, Café Marco, El Viento and the Lobby Lounge serve a Valentine feast featuring an international buffet spread inclusive of free-flowing standard drinks - house wines, local beers, chilled juices and sodas. Acclaimed Austrian pianist Franz Langer plays at the Lobby.

To experience romance at a thousand feet high, also on February 13 & 14, couples may go up to Blu Bar and Grill. There, an exquisite six-course dinner with wine pairing is served, with the tunes of Royal Plus Trio in the background.

The lady gets a complimentary long-stemmed rose and chocolates, while the man gets a special Marco Polo Plaza Valentine stationery on which to write his love letter!

For those who are planning a special Valentine's weekend getaway from February 13 to 15, there's a special Valentine Room Package. The couple stays in a deluxe mountain-view room with daily breakfast buffet for two at the award-winning Café Marco.
