New Book by Grace Chong

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Grace D. Chong, who writes the column "Big Little People" in KidStuff of The Freeman Lifestyle Section on designated Sundays, and an author of over 50 books for both adults and children, is in town to speak in a seminar on gender sensitivity for students, teachers, and graduating teachers from University of Cebu.

The seminar is being mounted by Childlink High School Inc., the only Z club under the Zonta Club II of Cebu, which advocates anti-violence for women and children. It happens this morning, September 27, at the Sacred Heart Center.

While in Cebu, Grace will do book tours in various schools and book signing events in bookshops to promote her latest book, “Grace@Work (Inspiring Thoughts for Each Day of the Year),” published by OMF Literature and launched at the recently concluded Manila International Book Fair.

Among Chong's books are six Palanca-award winning children's stories: "The Boy Who Had Five Lolas," "The Magic of Apo Mayor," "Big Brother," "No Lipstick for Mother," "I am an Apple," and "The White Shoes." Her book "Grace Found Me" won in the Gintong Aklat Awards (Inspirational Category), in 2012. All books are available at the OMF Lit Book Shop, Passages, National Bookstore and Philippine Christian Book Store.
