Towards a Happy-Ever-After

CEBU, Philippines - A wedding is a step towards a happy-ever-after. Thus, every wedding should be memorable. And, fortunately, the elements to make it happen are available to couples.

The bridal fair "I Do: Marry Me at the Marriott," on June 20, was both a checklist of necessities and a showcase of available resources for planning beautiful weddings. From the top wedding photographers, to reputable wedding suppliers, to the most sought-after gown designers, to the finest jewelers, all the way down to the best wedding planners around, the event didn't miss a thing.

A workshop preceded the main event, with one of the country's celebrated wedding planners, Ms. Rita Neri. Author of the bestselling book "The Essential Wedding Workbook for the Filipina," Ms Neri, who is known for her innovative event concepts, shared useful tips with Cebu's wedding planners and event organizers.

The bridal fair was a venue for wedding suppliers to show what they have to offer. The wedding planners were made to see what's in store for them in the wedding planning business. Couples, for their part, were shown what's available to make their dream weddings come true.

A fashion show featuring the creations of some of Cebu's premiere designers capped the event. Lovely gowns were modeled on the runway, showing how the bride should stand out on her big day. (FREEMAN)
