Good Advice for Better Personal Style

CEBU, Philippines - To further showcase the sense of individuality in the dynamic world of fashion, one has to dress not to impress but to openly express.

Taking to consideration how Filipinos love to be on top where style and beauty is concerned, Allison Harvard, an international model and celebrity partyphile Tim Yap take up a one step notch in unveiling the newest emerging trends in fashion. Ms Harvard was a runner-up of the hit reality TV show "Americas Next Top Model" Cycle 12 and Cycle 17: All Stars Edition and the first-ever "Style Origin Lookbook" cover girl. Yap is a television talk show host and Philippine Star columnist.

The 30-minute live talk show, dubbed "Style Icons," which focused on how to enhance one's fashion style, featured Tim Yap and Allison Harvard in their chic best. Yap interviewed Harvard with questions on fashion, as well as her experiences from the reality TV show. Both emphasized how personal style can greatly enhance one's personality and how styles can be adapted to achieve the desired look and to fit one's lifestyle.

To better illustrate the show's message of individuality, Harvard and Yap led four teens to a makeover in creating their own distinct styles. The teens were picked in a contest prior to the show, where contestants were asked to upload a 15-second creative video in Instagram.
