CEBU, Philippines - Anyone who has had an ample serving of classic sci-fi flicks knows how big the 80s was in forecasting the coming of the new millennium, particularly with how clothes were foreseen to look like and how they would come with "rad" features.
From futuristic takes on clothes which dry themselves, to fashion accessories which double as anything between portable lasers to can openers, it's difficult to think about the fashion sensibilities of 80s era sci-fi movies and not wonder about where all those futuristic items are today, given that the "future" featured in the movies is now the present.
So where exactly are all those futuristic "self cleaning shirts" and "self drying jackets"?
