Mother Ignacia del Espiritu Santo
Some months ago, His Eminence Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales, D.D., Archbishop of Manila, was the main celebrant at a Thanksgiving Mass at the Minor Basilica of San Lorenzo Ruiz on the occasion of the promulgation of “Decretum Super Virtutibus” (Decree of Virtues) of Venerable Ignacia del Espiritu Santo, Foundress of the Religious of the Virgin Mary (RVM).
A little later in Cebu, Bishop Julito Cortes, D.D., Auxiliary Bishop of Cebu, also celebrated a Thanksgiving Mass for the same intention of Venerable Ignacia del Espiritu Santo at the St. Mary’s Chapel at F. Ramos Street.
After the Mass followed the ceremony of the reading of the Decretum by Fr. Dionisio Miranda, SVD; installing of the Decretum on the stand; ringing of the Chapel Bells and the unveiling of the Portrait of Venerable Ignacia del Espiritu Santo by Bishop Cortes.
