Pasko’s Fashion, Art and Culture Treat

What a Christmas treat this would be! After an applause-generating show in Marco Polo Hong Kong a few days ago, the Department of Tourism, The Cebu City Tourism Commission and Marco Polo Plaza Hotel will present an encore performance that would make your holidays more jolly.

Picture these: fashion czar and Cebu City Tourism Commissioner Philip Rodriguez unveils a collection of stylized Filipiniana gowns and barongs that in a bat of a curled eyelash will turn into modernistic outfits that are fit for any party whether you are in Cebu or Peru, New York or Paris, Saipan or Japan. Inspired by his recent travels, Mr. Rodriguez quipped, “I want to showcase the rich Filipino culture and blend it with world class detailing in my collection!” Then ace director Junjet Primor whipped up specially choreographed dances and stellar performances by two classical divas with nightingale voices.

And for the palate, a menu highlighting the flavor of Cebu’s homegrown mangoes concocted by Marco Polo’s Executive chef Luke Gagnon. Definitely a must see event that Hong Kong diplomats, Filipino expats and foreign guests alike enjoyed immensely at the Marco Polo Hong Kong!

Bravissimo!
