Cebu red carpet premiere for 'Inang Yaya' slated Nov. 27
November 11, 2006 | 12:00am
This November 27, 2006, Paglaum Group and Unico Entertainment will hold a red carpet premiere of a heartwarming movie entitled "Inang Yaya" starring Ms. Maricel Soriano, for the benefit of The Children of Cebu Foundation, Inc. To be graced by no less than the Diamond Star herself, the premiere night will happen in SM City Cebu (Cinemas 2 and 3) at 6PM.
The film is about Norma (Maricel Soriano), a nanny who left her child to raise another and loves a child who is not even her own. As both mother to Ruby (Tala Santos) and nanny to Louise (Ericka Ureta), this is the dilemma Norma faces. If made to choose between ward and daughter, who will Norma choose? Louise or Ruby? Little girls equally loved, as unlike as day and night.
Like Unitel's previous highly-acclaimed films, "Crying Ladies," "La Visa Loca," "Santa Santita," to name a few, "Inang Yaya" is bound to leave a creative and critical stamp on the local cinema. Currently, it has been awarded a special grant by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) for meeting the FDCP standards in filmmaking.
