MANILA, Philippines — In response to the rapid growth of volleyball in the country, Mighty Sports inaugurated its new volleyball courts at AcroCity in Guiguinto, Bulacan on Saturday, drawing a good mix of young and old fans.
What made the event very special was the presence of the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles and PBA star Scottie Thompson of Ginebra San Miguel.
The inauguration of its volleyball facility came after Mighty Sports officially opened its basketball courts two weeks prior, where former Xavier School and PBA stars, led by Chris Tiu and Joseph Yeo, took part in a charity basketball event.
This time, it was the Thunderbelles’ turn to provide action and entertainment to the crowd, especially to the young ones who are also dreaming of representing the country in big-time events someday.
The huge turnout of fans elated AcroCity and Czark Mak chairman Caesar Wongchuking.
