CleanTech fuels POC drive for 2028

Joey Villar - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — CleanTech, a Filipino-owned fuel station based in Central Luzon, is teaming up with the Philippine Olympic Committee in helping the country produce future Olympic champions.

“We want to be instruments to our youth to get out of poverty through sports,” said CleanTech chairman Luisito Mercado, whose family owns around 50 branches in Pampanga and Nueva Ecija.

POC president Abraham Tolentino welcomed the three-year partnership especially at a time when prices of fuel have soared due to the conflict in the Middle East.

“I can’t say anything except thanks to CleanTech for supporting our campaign 2028 LA Olympics as our official fuel,” said Tolentino during a recent memorandum of agreement signing at the Century Park Hotel.
