MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has declared July 16 a holiday in Malilipot, Albay and Talisayan, Misamis Oriental to allow residents to participate in the celebration of local festivities.

The holiday declarations for Malilipot and Talisayan were contained in Proclamations 1341 and 1342, respectively.

The holiday will allow residents of Malilipot to celebrate the Lubid Festival, and the people of Talisayan to enjoy the local fiesta, the Palace said.

The proclamations were signed by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto on July 9, by the authority of President Marcos.
