Filipino MMA fighter Loman returns, sees action in Brave’s Croatia card

MANILA, Philippines — Filipino mixed martial artist Stephen Loman is headed back to the cage. 

Loman will face No. 2-ranked contender Lasha Abramishvili on Brave CF 108 on September 5 at the historic Pula Arena in Croatia.

Years since he saw action, Loman will try to position himself back to the Brave CF bantamweight world championship picture against Abramishvili. 

"I've been waiting for this opportunity for a long time, and I'm grateful that my return is happening in BRAVE CF," Loman said.

“This organization gave me the platform to showcase my abilities to fans across the world and helped shape my career. Coming back here means everything to me, and this fight in Croatia is the first step toward reclaiming the Brave CF bantamweight world Title.”

The Filipino fighter, representing Lions Nation MMA, was the first-ever Brave CF bantamweight world champion.

He held the title for 1,179 days, including four successful title defenses.

And while Loman aims to return on top of the throne, Abramishvili is no push-off. 

Abramishvili enters Brave CF 108 carrying a 12-2-1 slate and an unblemished 4-0 run in the promotion.

The Georgian's latest victory came at Brave CF 106 this past June, where he outlasted Brice Picaud to secure a unanimous decision after a grueling three-round contest.

"It is exciting to test myself against someone who accomplished so much in this division," Abramishvili stated. "Stephen Loman set a very high standard as World Champion, and I respect everything he has achieved.

“A convincing win over him would show that I deserve to be the next man fighting for the Brave CF bantamweight world title."
