Speed Japan launches remittance mobile app

MANILA, Philippines - In July, Speed Money Transfer Japan (SPEED), the only migrant-owned, migrant-managed Filipino remittance company licensed in Japan, will offer another additional service to our Japan OFWs – a remittance mobile App.

It is as simple as downloading  Speed’s icon in your smartphone, and you’re on your way to sending money to loved ones in the Philippines anytime, anywhere.

Tap on SPEED’s icon, and register. Once the user passes the Know-Your-Customer rule of Japan (basically a confirmation of one’s registered residence address), he/she then becomes a SPEED member.

SPEED will continue to maintain its branch network. In the comfort of SPEED’s customer lobbies, Pinoys can watch Philippine TV programs, call their families back home for free, and even open up their hearts to frontliners who are always willing to listen.

For OFWs who do not have the time to walk-in, cannot maintain bank accounts in Japan, or do not have the time to call or text for their instructions on who to send their money to, SPEED offers another service – the YU-Card.

The YU-Card is a customized ATM with Japan’s Postal Bank (Yucho Ginko).  The SPEED member can request an ATM card (YU-Card) and assign it to his beneficiary in the Philippines. No need to call/text for instructions.  The OFW remitter can just follow the procedure in the Yucho Ginko ATM machine, and wait for SPEED’s tracking number in his cellphone, for the money to be claimed.

SPEED can credit any Philippine bank account and do cash pick-up from major banks.  With only one tracking number, beneficiaries can also have several outlets to choose from – M Lhuiller, LBC, Palawan, Bayad Center – from their thousands of branches spread out all over the Philiippines.

No time to claim cash from selected major bank counters or from these authorized pick-up centers? SPEED can deliver peso cash or even yen cash, door-to-door.

How about sending loved ones some flowers and chocolates? Or make your child’s birthday a memorable one with a Jollibee package delivered right at home? Or just dine in. Send your Mom a cake? SPEED can arrange that through Red Ribbon.  Want to ensure that the money sent goes to wherever it is meant for, like paying your child’s school tuition fees, electric bills, real estate mortgage payments? SPEED can do all this.

OFWs paying their monthly contributions to SSS, Philhealth and Pag-Ibig can avail of free remittance thru SPEED’s combo-duo remittance promo.
