MANILA, Philippines - HP recently announced a new major release of the HP Quality Center, designed to help IT organizations achieve greater success in their application modernization projects through better management of the application life cycle.
At HP Software Universe, its annual users’ conference, in Vienna, Austria, HP introduced HP Quality Center 10.0 to help customers more rapidly respond to changing market conditions and competitive pressures by modernizing their applications quickly and cost-effectively.
“To create more efficient business processes, organizations are updating the applications that underpin them with more agile architectures,” said Jonathan Rende, HP’s vice president and general manager for BTO Applications, Software and Solutions.
“We are building on our quality management heritage to help customers deal with immediate cost-cutting mandates as well as create a foundation that will support rapid innovation to fuel future growth,” Rende added.
The new offerings help customers:
• Focus investments on the right projects and retire those that don’t offer clear business value through integration with HP Project and Portfolio Management software.
• Ensure the success of approved projects by properly capturing business requirements and driving project execution against those requirements.
• Decrease costs and enhance the reliability of applications by consolidating disparate release activities into a “release train” model and enabling sharing of assets across projects.
• Lower labor costs through the effective coordination and utilization of outsourced staff across the entire application life cycle.
• Lower costs through delivery via HP Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), allowing customers to get up and running quickly while reducing or eliminating software and hardware capital expenditures.
HP Quality Center 10.0 is a major release that allows customers to deliver high-quality software applications — from simple, standalone projects to composite applications that comprise dozens of interdependent applications and services.
