MANILA, Philippines - Sandari Batulao, an emerging masterplanned residential and leisure community in Nasugbu, Batangas, served as a cool and breezy venue for a healing mass celebrated last Jan. 22 by renowned healer Fr. Fernando Suarez, C. C.
The hundreds of devotees who flocked to the sprawling grounds of the project being undertaken by Citystate Properties and Management Corporation came to be healed of various afflictions. Many of them were on wheelchairs or walked with canes or crutches supported by companions.
By the time Father Suarez arrived with his companion priests for the 4 p.m. mass, all the monobloc chairs placed under a canvas spread over the grounds of the View Deck were taken.
In his homily, Father Suarez stressed that while the event primarily drew those who sought healing from illnesses, it was also fitting that prayers launched the envisioned community of Sandari.
“It is right and proper that as Sandari Batulao is being established by its developers, we come together to raise our hearts in prayer that peace and harmony would reign over its community,” he said.
He commended the CPMC for organizing the mass and recognizing the church as an integral part of the emerging Sandari Batulao community. He expressed pleasure over information he received that the Parish of San Antonio de Padua is being planned to rise in the place.
Earlier during the day, family bonding activities such as horseback riding, kite flying for children and relaxing massage sessions were offered to visitors who wanted a feel of the Sandari lifestyle.
Culled from the Sanskrit words “zaanta” and “dhari”, which literally mean “peaceful valley,” Sandari, with its fresh, cool mountain air and spectacular views of Mounts Batulao and Talamitam and Nasugbu Bay, provided the ideal setting for visitors who wanted to reconnect with nature and one’s self.
Set within 800 hectares of lush greens and undulating hills at the foot of Mt. Batulao, Sandari Batulao is envisioned to be a mountainside self-sustaining community where residents and guests experience a laid-back lifestyle marked by a genuine respect for the quiet life and the natural environment. Citystate Properties is headed by Ambassador Antonio L. Cabangon Chua and his Singaporean partners.
Sandari Batulao is located at Km 77, Barangay Kaylaway, Nasugbu, Batangas, just a 10-minute drive from Metro Tagaytay along the Nasugbu-Tourism Highway, and an hour and a half drive from Makati via the South Luzon Expressway through Santa Rosa.
