In celebration of the Chevrolet Corvette’s 65th anniversary, The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), the exclusive distributor of Chevrolet vehicles in the Philippines, announces the arrival of America’s supercar into the country. The 2019 Corvette is now available for reservation at all Chevrolet dealerships nationwide with customer deliveries starting in the first quarter of 2019.

“We are extremely proud that the Corvette’s first launch in Southeast Asia is happening in the Philippines,” says Atty. Alberto Arcilla, president and managing director of TCCCI. “We are happy to provide the market with a driving experience like no other.”

This sentiment is echoed by Ian Nicholls, president of GM Southeast Asia who said: “Bringing such an iconic American supercar in the Philippines is a testament of General Motors’ commitment in the country and the rest of the region. Throughout its history, the Corvette has proven the position of Chevrolet as a leader in producing vehicles with spirited performance and high-quality design.”

For the Philippine market, TCCCI is bringing in one sole variant of the Corvette: the Corvette Stingray 3LT. This variant comes with a 6.2-liter small-block V8 motor producing 455 horsepower and 621 Nm of torque. With an eight-speed automatic with paddle shifters, the 100 km/h mark arrives at a scant 3.7 seconds.

More than just raw power, the 2019 Corvette Stingray is made of lightweight materials with an aluminum frame. Thanks to a carbon fiber hood and removable roof panel; composite fenders, doors, and rear quarter panels; and carbon-nano composite underbody panels, it has a perfect 50/50 front-to-back weight balance.

Standard also for the Philippine market model is Magnetic Selective Ride Control or MagneRide further improving the Corvette’s handling and riding comfort. It also has Competition Sport Bucket Seats, an eight-inch Chevrolet MyLink with integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10-speaker Bose sound system.

Like all other Chevrolet models in the Philippines, the 2019 Corvette Stingray is backed by TCCCI’s Chevrolet Complete Care, which offers a five-year/100,000-kilometer warranty as well as 24/7 roadside assistance for the first three years.

The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 3LT comes with a suggested retail price of P8,546,888.
