Whirpool supports Tacloban typhoon victims

MANILA, Philippines - True to its commitment to creating better lives, better homes and a better world, the appliance company Whirlpool Philippines has dedicated itself into caring and supporting the Filipino family. After one of the worst typhoons devastated the country, help is still needed most especially in Tacloban.

As part of its various corporate social responsibility programs, Whirlpool Philippines has reached out to GMAKF to help support the displaced typhoon victims through the Kapuso Village Tacloban Project, one of GMAKF’s sustainable development projects which is being done in partnership with the city government of Tacloban and the National Housing Authority.

The 400-unit Kapuso Village will provide affected families with a new place to call home.

And to further help them start over, Whirlpool Philippines donated appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators to furnish their new homes.

The appliance company believes that this is a good opportunity to give back and help these families build a new life.

For details on how to contribute to the construction of the Kapuso Villages and other projects of the GMA Kapuso Foundation, interested parties may visit their website at www.gmanetwork.com/KapusoFoundation.
