MANILA, Philippines - Dr. Marie Lisa M. Dacanay, president of the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia recently launched her book titled ‘Social Enterprises and the Poor: Transforming Wealth’ at the Ateneo de Manila University. The book was originally Dr. Dacanay’s dissertation in her doctorate study in the Copenhagen Business School. The book is the culmination of years of research, writing and more rewriting for an understanding of social entrepreneurship that definitely breaks new ground as it focuses intensely on the empowerment that social enterprise give to both practitioners and the partners.
