PLDT provides cloud-based services for SMEs

MANILA, Philippines - Efficiency and productivity are the keys to a thriving business  – whether it’s large enterprise or small-and-medium entrepreneurs (SME). With the emergence of new technologies, it is becoming easier and more convenient for businesses to focus on their operations and they can spend less time worrying about technical infrastructure and support.

PLDT provides a wide range of solutions, such as cloud-based computing services to help business owners meet the ever-evolving demands of their business.

PLDT, through its Enterprise arm, offers PLDT Cloud, a suite of cloud-delivered solutions designed to support any business with customizable computing resources, such as networks, servers, storage, applications and other services.

“Over the years, PLDT has steadily invested in infrastructure assembling the necessary building blocks to create the most reliable cloud to date, providing infinite capacity of computing power and accessibility while maintaining reliability and security,” said PLDT VP and head of PLDT ALPHA Enterprise Jovy Hernandez.

PLDT Cloud is hosted in the company’s premier network of PLDT VITRO Data Centers – the first purposely built data center in the Philippines which has enterprise-grade reliability to deliver maximum performance and high availability. It is also powered by PLDT’s domestic fiber optic network (DFON) which spans 54,000 kilometers nationwide, the most extensive in the country.

This is also supported by the PLDT Group’s four international cable landing stations across the country to connect to the most reliable undersea cable systems in the world through partnerships with the world’s biggest telco operators.

“Our overseas links are the most resilient in the country and have unmatched international bandwidth capacity to allow our customers to have fast and seamless connections to the world,” Hernandez pointed out.

By using its own advanced infrastructure, PLDT Cloud is able to provide reliability and scalability, wherein customers only pay for what they consume as the Cloud conforms and expands according to the size of the business.
