MANILA, Philippines — Nagpahayag ng suporta ang transport group na The Passenger Forum (TFP) sa Non-Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) na ipinatutupad sa Metro Manila para sa kaayusan ng trapiko at pagdisiplina sa mga driver at motorista.

Kasabay nito’y hiniling ni TFP convenor Primo Morillo sa Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) at mga lokal na pamahalaan na nagpapatupad nito na linawin sa publiko ang umano’y ilan na nakalilitong patakaran ng sistema.

Batid aniya nila na marami pang dapat ayusin sa NCAP pero daan na ito upang gawing mas ligtas ang mga kalsada sa Metro Manila para sa mga pedestrian, commuter at bike user.

Kumbinsido si Morillo na binuo ang NCAP para protektahan ang publiko at disiplinahin at turuan na maging responsable ang mga pasaway na driver.

“For Metro Manila to be walkable, we need to effectively impose speed limits and then, transition from footbridges and underpasses to at-grade pedestrian lanes. The successful implementation of our traffic laws through the NCAP is crucial in guaranteeing the safety of commuters in PUVs, on the road, and even those riding their own bikes,” ani Morillo.
