Marcos bukas sa optional face mask – Concepcion
MANILA, Philippines — Bukas si President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na gawing optional ang pagsusuot ng face mask, ayon kay Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion.
Sa Laging Handa public briefing, sinabi ni Concepcion na nag-meeting sila kamakailan ni Marcos at napag-usapan nila ang isyu ng face mask.
Ayon pa kay Concepcion, bukas sa ideya si Marcos pero sa tingin niya ay dapat ipaubaya sa mga local government units (LGUs) ang pagdedesisyon tungkol sa pagsusuot ng face mask.
“And I think in the next administration, pag-usapan natin. At noong nag-meeting kami ni President-elect BBM, he is open to the idea naman. Ang tingin ko naman dito, on outdoor settings, palagay ko let’s allow the LGUs to decide whether face mask is required,” ani Concepcion.
Sa pananaw ni Concepcion, dapat hikayatin ang pagsusuot ng face mask sa labas at hindi gawing sapilitan.
“In my own judgment, face mask outdoor should be encouraged but not mandated,” ani Concepcion.
Idinagdag din ni Concepcion na dahil “mandated” sa administrasyon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pagsusuot ng face mask sa labas ay dapat sundin na lang ito at irespeto.
“Well, since the Duterte Administration has mandated the wearing of face masks in outdoor, dapat sundin natin. At bigyan natin ng respeto na itong panukala nila na until this administration ends – and it’s going to end at the end of this month – let’s respect the rules,” ani Concepcion.
