Pagsusuot ng face shields mandatory na sa Agosto 15

MANILA, Philippines — Simula sa Sabado, Agosto 15 ay magiging mandatory na ang pagsusuot ng face shields sa sinumang bumibiyahe sa pamamagitan ng pampublikong transportasyon.

Inatasan na ni Department of Transportation (DOTr) Undersecretary for Administrative Service Artemio Tuazon Jr. ang lahat ng opisyal ng transportation sectors na istriktong ipatupad ang naturang polisiya sa mga lugar kung saan pinapayagan ang public transport.

“As instructed by the Secretary, this is to mandate all officials/heads of various transportation sectors to enjoin within their respective jurisdictions the mandatory wearing of face shields (aside from face masks) for ALL passengers in areas where public transportation is allowed, effective on 15 August 2020,” bahagi ng memorandum.

Nilinaw naman ng DOTr na ang naturang paggamit ng face shields ay bukod pa sa iba pang umiiral na health protocols, gaya nang paggamit ng face masks at pag-obserba sa physical distancing.

Para naman sa mga bumibiyahe sa pamamagitan ng dagat, ang mandatory na pagsusuot ng face shields ay ipatutupad simula ngayong Biyernes, Agosto 7.

Sa hiwalay na memo ng Maritime Industry Authority (Marina), Philippine Ports Authority, Cebu Port Authority, at Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), ipinag-utos ang implementasyon ng “No-Face-Shield, No-Ride” policy epektibo ngayong Biyernes.
