Sara kinastigo si Defensor: ‘Wag kang intrigero
MANILA, Philippines — Hinamon ni Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio si Anakalusugan Partylist Rep. Mike Defensor na ibunyag ang source nito na nagsasabing nakatanggap ng text mula sa alkalde para sa panawagan sa mga kongresista na balewalain ang napiling speaker ng kanyang ama na si Taguig Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano.
“I call on Anakalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor to stop sowing intrigue and to name the source in his pronouncements to allow people to verify the truth of his claim. Give us the name of the neophyte member of the House of Representatives from whom you received a text message with a supposed message coming from me. A responsible individual would have asked me if there is truth to the text,” wika pa ni Mayor Sara sa isang official statement.
Sa nasabing text message umano sinabihan ng alkalde ang mga kongresista na iboto kung sino ang gusto nilang maging speaker dahil na-set up ng gahamang Cabinet members si Pang. Duterte.
“People should know that it was not I who was in a panic hours before the meeting in Malacañang was supposed to happen. In fact, it was Rep. Defensor who reached out to me thru Atty. Charo Munsayac. Making last minute requests for Rep. Romualdez to which I said that I will not interfere in that matter,” pahayag pa ng Presidential Daughter.
Sabi pa ni Sara, muli siyang tinangkang kausapin ni Defensor at nais painitin ang isyu sa term sharing na inihayag ng Pangulo sa pagitan nina Cayetano at Marinduque Rep. Lord Allan Velasco.
“After the meeting, Rep. Defensor reached out again and I recognized that he was trying to light a fire about the term sharing decision that came out of the meeting last Monday. I played dumb to end the conversation,” dagdag ni Sara.
“I reiterate for Rep. Defensor to name his source because I have a reputation to protect and I have the right to confront a person who is spreading disinformation. Otherwise, we can all say that you are your own source,” giit pa ng alkalde.
Samantala, humingi naman ng paumanhin si Defensor kay Mayor Sara. Aminado si Defensor, na mali at unfair na kinaladkad niya sa isyu ang pangalan ng anak ng Pangulo.
