CEBU, Philippines – Ang kagamhanan sa Dakbayan sa Sugbo pinaagi sa ilang Cebu City Sports Commission (CCSC) mopahigayon og inter-barangay sports tournament nga ulohan og "One City, One Dream" karong Marso.
Mga duwa nga tigian mao ang basketball, 3x3 basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis ug fitness dance (zumbalympics).
Ang kompetisyon bukas sa tanang 80 ka mga barangay sa Dakbayan sa Sugbo.
"We feature the sports that is popular to play among Cebuanos. We made this an inter-baranggay competition so that everyone can participate and everyone will have the opportunity to showcase their skills," matud pa ni councilor Eugenio 'Jun' Gabuya Jr., ang committee chairman on games, amusements and sports. "We wanted to make them busy in the field of sports and we also want to prove that sports is one of the effective weapons in combating the proliferation of illegal drugs. Also, being active in sport promotes wellness."
Matud ni Gabuya, nga ang torneyo sumpay sa grassroots sports program sa dakbayan. Paagi sab kini aron makakaplag og bag-ong talento.
"One of its purpose is to recruit new players and discover new talents so we really encourage all the youth in the barangays to participate in our different sports activities" dugang pa ni Gabuya.
Alang sa regular basketball, usa kini ka inter-club competition, bukas sa tanang players nga nagpangedaron og 45-anyos pataas, samtang ang 3x3 basketball abli sa magduduwa nga nag-edad gikan sa 18 hangtod sa 25 anyos.
Ang men's ug women's volleyball bukas ngadto sa 18-anyos pataas nga players, samtang ang lawn tennis adunay 30-above, 40-above ug 50-above age brackets.
Tanang mga entrante kinahanglan nga rehistradong botante sa Dakbayan sa Sugbo.
Matag event adunay ilang kaugalingon nga format sa duwa. Ang mga teams bahinon ngadto sa duha ka distrito, North ug South.
Ang entry forms mahimong makuha sa opisina ni Konsehal Gabuya sa Cebu City Hall. Ang pagsumiter sa mga entries magsugod sa Pebrero 18, samtang ang official registration magsugod sa Marso 5. Ang mga duwa gitakda sugdan sa ikaduhang semana sa Marso.
