CEBU, Philippines – Nangandam na ang Business Permit and Licensing Office sa Cebu City Treasurer's office sa 35,000 ka mga business establishment dinhi sa syudad sa Sugbu nga mo-renew sa ilang tagsa-tagsa ka mga permit.
Kini human ang kagamhanan sa syudad sa Sugbo mipahimangno sa mga business owners sa schedule sa pag-renew sa mga business permits nga mahitabo sugod sa Enero 4 ngadto sa Enero 25 sa sunod tuig.
Si Acting City Treasurer Arlene Rentuza miingon aron paghatag og igong panahon sa mga establisymento giusab nila ang deadline gikan sa petsa 20 ngadto na sa petsa 25 sa buwan sa Enero.
“Anaa may migawas nga resolution sa Council nga i-extend, as what being stated in the notice, ang ato gyu’ng ordinansa would say nga January 20 ang deadline but because of Sangguniang Panlungsod resolution nga i-allow for the extension up to 25th so they would be allowed without incurring the penalty”, matud pa ni Rentuza.
Miingon si Rentuza nga ang mga business establishments nga mapakyas sa pagproseso mobayad og two percent interest ug 25 percent surcharge ug penalty.
“Well it remains basically the same nga kung dili na mabayaran by the due date naa nay penalty, naa nay surcharge niya mokuan na og interest”, dugang pa niya.
Kahinumduman nga ang City Government mihingusog sa ilang kampanya batok mga tax evaders.
“Cebu City still has one of the lowest tax rates in the country, and we are trying to make getting all your requirements as easy as possible so please do not give us any excuses to close your business for failing to pay your taxes”, matud pa usab ni Cebu City Mayor Tommy Osmeña. (/LPM)(BANAT NEWS)
