CEBU, Philippines — Pormal nga gidawat ni Cebu City Vice Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia ang memorandum gikan sa Department of Interior and Local Government(DILG) nga nagmando kaniya nga akuhon ang mga tahas isip acting Mayor sa labing daling panahon nunot sa suspension ni Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama sud sa unom ka buwan.
Sa pakighinabi sa The Freeman/Banat News kang Garcia, gikompirmar niya nga nadawat na niya gikan kang DILG-VII’s Regional Director Leocadio Trovela ang memo niadtong Biyernes sa hapon.
Gihimug-atan sa memo ang implementasyon sa kamandoan sa Office of the Ombudsman niadtong Mayo 2,2024.
Gibutyag sab ni Truvela nakadawat siya og “unnumbered” memorandum niadtong Mayo 9 gikan kang Undersecretary Atty. Juan Victor R.Llamas, Undersecretary for External, Legal and Legislative Affairs concerning mahitungod sa reventive suspension order.
"In the subject Order, the Office of the Ombudsman placed respondents Michael L.Rama, City Mayor, Collin E. Rosell, City Administrator, Maria Theresa C. Rosell, Officer-in-Charge, Office of the City Assessor, Francis May L. Jacaban, Designated Assistant Department Head(Administration/Legal Officer), Angelique B. Cabugao, Designated Assistant Department Head (Operations), Jay-Ar B. Pescante, Designated Administrative Division Head, Lester Joey O.Beniga, Designated Assessment of Records Management Division Head and Nelyn P. Sanrojo, Designated Computer Division Head all of Local Government of Cebu City, under preventive suspension until the administrative adjudication on this case is terminated, but not to exceed six (6) months,” sumala pa sa maong memo.
Ang suspensyon may kalabutan kini sa matud nakitang igong basihan sa Ombudsman sa Manila sa reklamo sa upat ka mga kawani sa City Assessor’s Office city hall nga mialegar nga wala sila sweldohi ug wala hatagi sa Si Garcia miingon nga sa pagkakaron wala siyay pang-usbon, buot lang niya nga hapsay ang transisyon ug dili mabalda ang serbisyo publiko sa city hall.
Masaligon si Garcia nga dili ra maapektahan ang serbisyo tungod kay nakatrabaho na niya ang mga department heads sa city hall kaniadto.
Bisan paman sa nahitabo kang Rama, si Garcia mipadayag sa iyang suporta sa mayor.
