MANILA, Philippines -- Kurashiki Ablaze head coach Hideo Suzuki has been tapped by the Farm Fresh Foxies as a team consultant in the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season, the league announced.

Suzuki, who guided the Ablaze to the championship in the PVL Invitational Conference, will have a pivotal role for Farm Fresh.

“We are thrilled to have Coach Hideo Suzuki join Farm Fresh as Team Consultant. His proven track record and coaching are assets that will undoubtedly elevate the team's performance,” Farm Fresh team manager Kiara Cruz said in a statement.

“We look forward to a season of growth and success under his guidance,” he added.

Suzuki will be working closely with team head coach Jerry Yee in the 2024 season.

The Foxies finished 10th in the recently concluded All-Filipino Conference with a 2-9 record.

“Coach Suzuki, renowned for his strategic brilliance and successful coaching career, will not only be instrumental in the development of Farm Fresh players but will also extend his expertise to elevate the performance of teams under the umbrella of Strong Group Athletics, particularly in the collegiate ranks,” the statement read.

Suzuki and the Ablaze, in the mid-season invitational conference, took home the championship over the Creamline Cool Smashers.
