Dent United, Panda score in LGR Hoops
MANILA, Philippines - Dent United, Hungry Panda, and Mackay Lions toppled their respective rivals in the Novice division at the start of the LGR Hoops Season 4 even as Master Siomai and DBBB07 struck in the Neophyte side of the event held simultaneously at three venues – Titan Love Court, North Greenhills and Cloverleaf Court – recently.
RM Bautista shot 18 points while Errol Lopez hit 11 markers as Dent United rallied from 24-35 deficit to beat George Plateria, 56-52.
Hungry Panda and Mackay Lions, on the other hand, fashioned out similar one-sided victories to share the early lead in the tournament, which drew more than 90 teams and sponsored by Titan, NBA Store, Gatorade, BTV, Golds Gym, Zarks Burger, Bugsy’s, Kartilya, SYF and Ybalai.
Playing with only eight men, Hungry Panda trounced Manila Spartans, 60-50, while Mackay Lions blasted Stallions, 89-67.
