23 gold medals hinablot ng PSL swimmers

Ang mga record-breakers sa 2017 SICC Invitational Swimming Cham­pionship kasama sina Philippine Swimming League president Susan Papa at Secretary-General Susan Benasa na ginaganap sa Singapore Island Country.

Sa day two ng SICC Invitational Swimming Championship

SINGAPORE - Ayaw pa­awat ng mga Philippine Swim­ming League (PSL) tan­kers nang humakot pa ng 23 gintong medalya sa ikalawang araw ng bakba­kan sa 2017 SICC Invitational Swimming Cham­pion­ship na ginaganap sa Singapore Island Country Club dito.

Bumandera sa pagka­kataong ito sina Aishel Cid Evangelista at Richelle Anne Raine Callera nang pa­­rehong bumasag ng da­lawang rekord sa kani-ka­nilang events.

Nagtala ng bagong mar­ka si Evangelista sa boys’ 7-under 50m freestyle sa bilis na 36.83 segundo gayundin sa 100m backstroke sa pamamagitan ng impresibong 1:34.98 segundo, habang winasak ni Callera ang rekord sa girls’ 7-under 50m freestyle (39.29) at 100m freestyle 1:28.19.

Pinangunahan din ni Evangelista ang boys’ 7-under 4x50m freestyle relay sa pagtala ng bagong rekord na 2:47.10 kasama sina Jude Agustin Gapultos, Jeanne Dominic Bo­ngo­tan at Kevin Chan.

Nagtala rin ng tig-iisang rekord sina Kyla Soguilon sa girls’ 12-13 100m backstroke (1:13.02), Andrea Pa­checo sa girls’ 18-over 50m backstroke (34.79) at Kiara Acierto sa girls’ 7-under 100m backstroke (1:44.32).

Nakaginto rin si Sogui­lon sa 50m freestyle (29.94) at Pacheco sa 50m freestyle (29.81).

Nag-ambag naman ng gintong medalya sina reigning Male Swimmer of the Year Marc Bryan Dula ng Wisenheimer Academy (boys’ 10-11 100m backstroke, 1:17.83), Lee Grant Cabral ng Diliman Preparatory School (boys’ 10-11 50m freestyle, 30.10), Rey Angelo Capistrano (boys’ 12-13 100m backstroke, 1:14.22), Martina Anela Estrella (girls’ 8-9 50m free­style, 37.62, at 200m Indivi­dual Medley, 3:21.97) at Na­than Sason (boys’ 12-13 50m freestyle, 28.61).

Nagwagi rin ng ginto ang PSL sa girls’ 7-under 4x50m freestyle relay (Callera, Kiara Acierto, Ta­ra Beard at Gwyneth Annayo), girls’ 8-9 4x50m freestyle relay (Estrella, Mikhaela Bliss Dula, Kate Roberto at Jenn Sermonia), boys’ 12-13 4x50m free­style relay (Sason, Ru­ben White, Albert Sermonia II at Neil Salvador), girls’ 12-13 4x50m freestyle re­lay (Soguilon, Hannah Ata­za, Jindsy Dasion at Chloe Laurente), boys’ 14-15 4x50m freestyle relay (Mac Quiambao, Chad Es­pinas, Enzo Malayang at Lucio Cuyong II), girls’ 16-17 4x50m freestyle relay (Louise Cortes, Kristin Austria, Danielle Pelayo at Bea Quiambao) at ang girls’ 18-over 4x50m freestyle re­lay (Pacheco, Veronika Aba­­los, Marian Fernandez at Angela Sergio).

Maliban sa ginto, nakahirit pa ang PSL ng 16 pilak at 12 tanso.

Sa kabuuan ay mayroon nang 44 gintong medalya ang PSL sa torneo.
