CESAFI vs. GUV Cup All Stars

Sa labing unang higayon, ang Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) ug ang Governor Gwen Garcia Unity Volleyball (GUV) Cup nagkauyon sa ilang desisyon aron mahimugso ang maong torneyo.

"This would be a very exciting and challenging tournament as it will feature the selection of the best players in the GUV Cup and the CESAFI men and women’s squads," matud pa ni Cebu Volleyball Association (CEVA) president Jun San Juan.

Ang GUV Cup belles pangulohan ni kanhi RP youth member Genie Sabas ug RP team member Jusabelle Brillo, uban nilang , Jullett Mae Marikit, Kenneth Garces, Lovena Amor Pepito, Katherine Jumapao, Rachelle Hanna Singson, Catherine Marquez, Melanie Silvestre, Gretchel Soltones, Athena Sucalit, Queenie Rivera, Christy Sucalit ug Apple Eve Saraum.

Ang reigning CESAFI champion Southwestern University (SWU) moapil sab sa kumbati uban sa ilang first stringer -- Princess Anne Pido, Danika Yolanda Gendrauli, Raphril Aguilar, Danalie Baquiro, Fritzie Aligway, Elizabeth Emnace, Lorie Mae Layno, Mary Luilyn Pacinio, Christalie Picos, Anna Sabanal ug Rhea Loayon.

Mikuha sab sila og reinforcement nga sila si Suzette Panis sa USC, Abegail Praca sa University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) ug Erika Camille Verano sa University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF).

Makalingaw nga line-up sa mga players ang naglatid sa men's bracket uban sa GUV Cup All Stars nga naglakip ni Norvie Labuga, RP team member Jonrey Sasing, Roderick Arenasa, Edward Carlo Tecson, Kennith Bensig, Ronald Acojedo, Ronald Moreno, Rolly Mancao, Alfred Daan, Jacky Yrog-irog, Dave Aresa, Mike Abria ug Jade Becaldo.

Ang CESAFI men's champion nga USJ-R maglaum sa abilidad nilang Leoniel Sanchez, Loujei Tipgos, Kevin Casia, Jason Uy, Ken Bhoyd Abunda, Jayvelle Roxas ug Jan Manalili. Uban sa team mao sila si Edward Ybañez ug Allan Caspillo sa USPF, Mark Giducos sa University of the Visayas (UV) ug Dennis Sepulveda sa USC.

Ang ideya sa pagpahigayon sa battle of champions giumol ni CESAFI Commissioner Felix Tiukinhoy, kinsa misugyot ngadto ni Gov. Garcia atol sa opening sa GUV Cup duha ka bulan na ang milabay didto sa Mandaue City.

Ang usa ka adlaw nga torneyo gipaluyohan sa Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), Philippine Volleyball Federation (PVF), Cebu Volleyball Association (CEVA), GUV Cup ug Sunsport.

Ang kampiyon makadawat og trophy ug medalya gikan ni Gener Dungo, ang bag-ong presidente sa PFV.
