2 cops hurt in roadside bombing
Superintendent Chitadel Gaoiran said the police officers were in a patrol vehicle when the explosion occurred in Barangay Pinugay at around noon.

MANILA, Philippines — Two police officers were wounded when an improvised explosive device went off along the road in Baras, Rizal yesterday.

Superintendent Chitadel Gaoiran, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police spokesperson, identified the victims as Police Officers 2 Jimmy Talupa and Manuel Fang-Asan.

Gaoiran said the police officers were in a patrol vehicle when the explosion occurred in Barangay Pinugay at around noon.

Probers have yet to determine the perpetrators of the bomb attack.
