MANILA, Philippines — Prevailing weather system prompted the cancelation of some domestic flights on Saturday.

According to its 9:30 a.m. advisory, the Manila International Airport Authority announced the cancelation of the following flights:

  • Cebu Pacific 5J 196/197 - Manila to Cauayan to Manila
  • Cebu Pacific 5J 506/507 - Manila to Tuguegarao to Manila

According to the state weather bureau’s 4:00 a.m. forecast, the northeast monsoon could bring scattered light to moderate rains in parts of northern and central Luzon.

Meanwhile, the tail-end of a cold front affecting the eastern section of southern Luzon could cause rains that may trigger possible flashfloods and landslides.

Southern Mindanao, on the other hand, could expect strong winds and scattered light to moderate with at times heavy rains brought by the trough of a low pressure area.
