PDEA seizes P50K in party drugs in Baguio City buy-bust

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Authorities on Thursday arrested an alleged dealer of party drugs that would have been sold to young people in the city.

Anti-narcotics agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera caught “Cherry” (not her real name), 18, from Malate, Manila after she sold the party drugs worth P50,000 to an undercover agent in front of a big hotel along Kisad Road.

Agents seized 15 ecstasy capsules, 25 tablets of Diazepam Valium and four syringes of yet to be identified drugs hidden in two boxes of cupcakes.

The alleged dealer, who was brought to the Baguio City Jail, is now facing a criminal case for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

According to PDEA-CAR, agents are on their toes against the entry of party drugs because the city is home to clubs that cater to young professionals and teenagers. — Artemio Dumlao
