“Hindi po, hindi po.” Ito ang sagot ni Yassi Pressman kahapon nang tanungin kung siya na ba talaga ang gaganap na Darna matapos itong officially ay ma­ging Kapamilya.

Kasabay niyang pumirma ng contract sa ABS-CBN si Bela Padilla na kaparehas niya ay alaga rin ng Viva Ar­tists Agency na pinamumunuan ni Ms. Veronique del Rosario Corpus.

Pero nagpapasalamat si Yassi na naiisip siya para sa iconic role na maingay na maingay na noon pa na si Angel Locsin daw ang gaganap sa pagsasa-pelikula nito.

“Sobrang laking honor. Kahit sabihin na even if I don’t get to play the role, kung isa ako sa mga iniisip nila na posible, eh sobrang nakakatuwa. Just the fact na naiisip nila na maging part ako or choice, thankful ako,” sabi niya sa interview ng ABS-CBN.

So ano nga kaya? Lilipad ba siya? Taon na ang lumipas sa paghihintay na gumaling ang likod ni Angel kaya hindi pa naka-take off si Darna.

Sarah nagsukat na ng pangkasal?

Whewww, nag-start nang mag-shooting sina Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz para sa Dear Future Husband.

At ang unang eksena ni Sarah G., wedding gown agad ang suot niya base sa kumalat na photos na kuha sa shooting ng pelikula.

Marami nang excited sa pagbabalik tambalan nila ng actor matapos ang tatlong ma­tagumpay na pelikula nila.

Siyam na tagalog films sasabak sa osaka filmfest?

Siyam na Pinoy films ang sasali sa gaganaping Osaka Asian Film Festival 2017, at tatlo roon ang pasok sa main competition section.

Ang tatlo ay ang Bliss ni Jerrold TarogKita-kita ni Sigrid Andrea Bernardo, at Tisay ni Borgy Torres. Makakalaban nila ang 13 other Asian films para sa Grand Prix and Most Promi­sing Talent awards.

Habang ang Apocalypse Child ni Mario Cornejo will be featured  in the In & Out of Work: Looking at Asia through the Prism of Employment Special Program.

Ang iba pang kasali sa special prog­ram featuring new movements in film ay ang Samantha Lee’s Baka Bukas, Mikhail Red’s Birdshot, Mihk Vergara’s Patintero: The Legend of Meng the Loser, Bradley Liew’s Singing in Graveyards, and Avid Liongoren’s Saving Sally.

“We are very proud with the incredible turnout of selected Filipino participants [of the Osaka Asian Film Fest] this year. As more of our own are featured in international festivals, they bring with them the unique voice and artistic culture of our country and it just really is a proud moment for them. We want them to know that FDCP (Film Development Council of the Philippines) is here to support them in any way it can,” said FDCP Chair Liza Diño.  FDCP will be coordinating with the Philippine Consulate in Osaka, Japan to give assistance to the Festival participants.

The Osaka Asian Film Festival will be held on March 3-12, 2017 in Osaka, Japan.
