Rody to inaugurate Bicol airport facilities

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – President Duterte will inaugurate a landside facility and 17 buildings at the Bicol International Airport (BIA) in Barangay Alobo in Daraga, Albay today.

The buildings under Package 2-A of the project include the control tower, airport cargo terminal, administration and auxiliary buildings as well as site development works. 

The construction of the runway, taxiway, apron and perimeter fence under Package 1 has an allocation of P708 million.

The construction of the airport worth P4.79 billion, which started in 2006, is expected to be completed in 2018. 

Albay Rep. Joey Salceda said they would rebid the runway project and passenger terminal building, which has an allocation of P1.4 billion.
