3 Northern Mindanao police execs relieved
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines – Three police officials in Northern Mindanao have been relieved from their posts for their “poor performance” in the campaign against illegal drugs.
Superintendent Surki Sereñas, Northern Mindanao police spokesman, identified the officials as Senior Superintendent Leonilo Cabug, Camiguin police director; Senior Superintendent Edgar Daniel, Misamis Occidental police chief, and Senior Superintendent Archival Macala, battalion commander of the Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB).
Senior Superintendent Rolando Destura replaced Cabug, Senior Superintendent Jaysen de Guzman assumed Daniel’s post while Superintendent Danildo Tumanda took over as RPSB head.
Chief Superintendent Noel Constantino, regional police director, said the relief order was effective on Wednesday.
“There are still impending movements… but we are still ironing out some details,” Constantino said.
