LIST: Class suspensions for September 28

MANILA, Philippines — Several local government units in Luzon declared class suspensions on Wednesday as monsoon rains affect the country.
 
Here is the list of areas where classes got suspended:

All levels

  • Malabon City
  • Navotas City
  • Meycauayan, Bulacan
  • San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan
  • Bocaue, Bulacan
  • Marilao, Bulacan
  • Antipolo City
  • Rodriguez, Rizal
  • San Mateo, Rizal
  • Taytay, Rizal
  • Cainta, Rizal

Kinder to Grade 11

  • UE Manila and UE Caloocan
Meanwhile, Typhoon Helen (international name: Megi) is already outside the Philippine area of responsibility, according to the 5 a.m. severe weather bulletin on Wednesday of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
 
The state weather bureau forecast cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rains and isolated thunderstorms over Metro Manila, central Luzon, CALABARZON and the provinces of Mindoro.
 
Visayas and the regions of Ilocos, Bicol, rest of MIMAROPA, Zamboanga Peninsula, northern Mindanao and CARAGA, on the other hand, will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.
 
PAGASA said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country.
 
It added that moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
