Councilor wounded in shooting

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – A municipal councilor was shot in a passenger bus in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija Thursday night. 

The bus was traveling along Maharlika Highway in Barangay San Anton when an unidentified gunman shot Armando Abiog, 42, of Penarda town, Senior Superintendent Crizaldo Nieves, Nueva Ecija police director, said in a report here.

Abiog was doing his job as bus inspector in the Golden Bee bus (CXR-165) when he was attacked.

Nieves said a stray bullet hit passenger Rowena Mariano, 39, a resident of Barangay Bayanihan in Gapan City.
