2 dead in gun attack

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A mechanic and a businessman were shot dead by a suspected hired killer in Cauayan City, Isabela Sunday night.

Victor Fernandez and Aby Cabrera were declared dead on arrival at the Cauayan City District Hospital due to bullet wounds in the head and body, said city police chief Superintendent Mariano Rodriguez.

Fernandez was buying from Cabrera’s fruit stand when a motorcycle-riding man pulled up and fired at them.

Police have yet to determine the gunman’s real target.
