Businesswoman slain at home

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A businesswoman was shot dead by a suspected hired killer at her home in Mira town late last Friday.

Kethleen Ramos, 46, died from gunshot wounds in the face and chest, Senior Police Officer 1 Blademir Enteria said.

The assailant entered Ramos’ house in Barangay Centro at around 7:15 p.m., Enteria said.

The victim’s son, Joseph, said the gunman fled on a motorcycle.

Investigators recovered bullet shells for a caliber .45 pistol.
