2 hurt as truck falls on homes in Muntinlupa -report

MANILA, Philippines - Two persons were injured after a wayward 10-wheeler truck fell on several houses in Muntinlupa City  Wednesday dawn.

Reports identified victims as Rafael Estrella, and his wife Marina, who were rushed to the Alabang Medical Center for treatment.

Initial reports said that the truck was speeding along the northbound of South Luzon Expressway at Susana Heights, Alabang around 5 a.m. when the driver Mark Mendoza lost control of the steering wheel.

The truck, carrying boxes of ketchup, went straight to the side of the highway and fell on the houses, reports said.

Authorities are still investigating the accident.
