ID for OFWs out soon
MANILA, Philippines — Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) will get their government-issued identification (ID) cards soon, an official said yesterday.
Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) officer-in-charge Bernard Olalia said the government would start the printing and distribution of the Department of Labor and Employment ID cards (iDOLE) on Dec. 6.
Olalia said the Philippine Postal Corp. would deliver the IDs to the addresses listed by the OFWs.
Last week, Olalia said the POEA signed a memorandum of agreement with concerned government agencies for the implementation of the OFW ID system.
